Robot welding cells

The technologically advanced ABB robotic systems combined with our robotically compatible JCP and JCL workpiece positioners lay a solid foundation for corporate competitiveness.

The versatile robotic units can be flexibly scaled to meet varying production needs and automate numerous functions, enabling round-the-clock production. Robotic workpiece processing is faster and safer than manual processing, and it enables optimising production line efficiency to the state-of-the art level. At the same time, it ensures consistent output quality.

A faster, more precise and more efficient production

Multiplied productivity

When compared to manual welding, just a single standard robotic unit can increase welding speed by up to 300%. When welding manually, approximately 1–2 kg of welding wire is used per hour, whereas a multiple-robot unit can weld up to 10 kg of wire per hour. In practice, a robot eliminates all human variables and carries out the welding operation quickly and exactly the way it was programmed to.

Remarkably fewer errors

Where human activities are affected by the working position, surrounding conditions, alertness, skill-level and various other variables, a robot welds accurately, quickly and in a controlled manner – just as programmed. When human factors and their impacts on the process are removed, the output is of consistent high-quality and the products meet all agreed requirements.

A new level of professional expertise

The use of robots frees working time dedicated to physical welding for tasks that require a higher level of technological skill and expertise, such as design tasks and operating robots. This decreases the need for manual labour, enabling your company to take the personnel’s professional expertise to a whole new level. In addition, the production can be kept running more cost-efficiently even on a round-the-clock basis.

Properties

Jucat and ABB Robotics have engaged in close collaboration on robotic solutions since 2014, and in 2019, Jucat became one of ABB’s Value Provider Partners. The collaboration has enabled us to provide our clients with increasingly versatile automation solutions that significantly improve the productivity, quality and safety of production. Robotic stations are often equipped with diverse hi-tech properties, such as laser scanning, laser tracking and computer vision. Combining the automatic systems with a JCP or JCL workpiece positioner enables utilising the full advantage of robotics.
